Keyofaaron.com is a video based guitar tutorial site. The content here is meant to cater to various levels of guitar playing. Many different concepts will be covered such as notes, chords, improvisation, song structure, and theory. My aim is to give you the tools necessary to reach your musical goals and have fun applying all this knowledge to your own creative mind as well as learning to play songs that you know and love.

Music is an art that encompasses so many parts of the human body, mind and spirit. It involves thought process, muscle memory and most importantly passion and emotion. It's an academic subject, a sport and a therapy session all at once. The goal of my method is to cater to all levels of guitar players and share the knowledge I have to help them progress.

While progress in guitar playing does involve being able to play faster, being able to play more chords and note patterns, gaining a bigger repertoire of techniques and more capability of playing songs, my method also stresses that precision, dynamic playing and understanding of music comes from having a strong grasp of the fundamentals and having a complete process of learning that flows from smaller concepts into the bigger concepts.

 

In math, the better you understand addition, the better you understand multiplication and eventually the better you'll be able to understand more complex algebra formulas.  In basketball, you can't score if you don't first learn to hold the ball, then learn to throw the ball with controlled power and after that, practice shooting into the hoop constantly in different distances from that hoop in order to make that score automatic no matter what obstacles are in your way. Music is no different than math or basketball. A better understanding of the smaller concepts leads to a better understanding of the bigger concepts. Just like with basketball, constantly practicing form in different variations will allow you to play more freely without consciously thinking about how to adjust to different situations when they arise.

 

The guitar courses on this site will be structured in a way where you will learn through descriptive instruction and by applying techniques to exercises, songs and most important of all your own creativity, giving you a platform to express yourself more freely.
